THE SUBARU XV CROSSTREK 1.6 L TEAM

Corinne Copreni

Corinne Copreni

Corinne Copreni is also known as “Corker”. Hailing from Italy by way of Quebec and currently residing in Toronto, she’s the go-to driver. Corker can be spotted across the biggest boardrooms in Canada’s largest cities. Previously she’s worked at Air Canada’s in-flight magazine advertising firm and the FINA World Cup. Presently she’s a creative force behind one of Canada’s biggest media company’s, working as an account executive in brand partnership. When not masterminding the next big ad campaign, Corker fuels her brain by escaping to the deepest and furthest ends of the world. Lately she has been spotted with her eye-catching, patch-adorned, backpack in Russian Siberia, Turkmenistan and Japan. Her driving skills were tested over the Pamir Highway in Tajikistan, and the red-dusted Cambodian back country roads; her patience forged over Indonesian transportation mayhems; her stomach burnt by Chinese hot pot and whilst trying to reach country # 72, her tastebuds were tested by the deadly Japanese puffer fish and Icelandic rotten shark. In 2013 she’s driven a tuk-tuk across 4,132km of Indian roads, and in 2014 she was the first woman to entirely drive the Mongolia Charity Rally to and back, cumulating 100 days behing the wheel, driving 33,497km  and crossing 36 countries aboard a Subaru XV lovingly named "BugZilla"! Now that she's seen and driven all the "Stan" countries its seems fitting that she's already planning the next adventure.  The only thing Corker fears is boredom!

THE RICKSHAW RUN

THE RICKSHAW RUN

On April 2013 , Elly, Jess and Corinne flew to India to partake in one of the most incredible, scariest and adrenaline pumped races on earth: the Rickshaw Run. Starting from Kochi (Kerala) and ending in Shillong (Meghalaya) the 3 women crossed the subcontinent in 17 days, ending the run "dead last" but with 4,132 km under their belts! Driving a tuk-tuk across India at a "turtle speed" of 35km/h (with "peaks" recorded of 52km/h downhill), with everything coming at you in the likes of trucks, bus, cars, bikes and cows is DEFINITELY a trip not made for everyone. Mix all of this with the smells, colors and sounds of India and you got yourself a hell of trip! The team supported the Frank Water: a charity funding clear water in India.
